Search tips

Tips Explanations
Use your natural language Use everyday language instead of strictly keywords. The results that appear are based on the search query entered.
Phrase search A phrase search is only supported for an entire search phrase. To find content containing a phrase, enter the phrase within double quotation marks. For example: "Two investigators independently assessed 15 skin conditions".
Boolean operators/ wildcards These are not supported in ClinicalKey. Only phrase searching will work.
Filter / sort search results Your search results will be presented in the order of their relevance to your ’search’, from most relevant to least relevant. You can filter your results based on content type, specialty, and publication date.

How to search journals

Type in your search term and click Journal Articles under Source Type on the left sidebar menu.

You can limit your results by study type (systematic reviews, meta-analyses, randomized controlled trials, and narrative reviews).

How to search ebooks

You can search ebooks by titles or browse the A-Z list of titles. Click on the title link to access the full-text.
